Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This policy describes how Mike Lee (the developer of FocusLock, “we”) handles information in the FocusLock Android app and on our website. Contact us at shfwk32@gmail.com.
1. Information used by app features
FocusLock uses settings, focus records, app usage information and your allowed-app and blocking selections to provide timers, focus statistics and device-blocking features. These features process information on your device. Separately, analytics, advertising, purchases and support can involve sending information to service providers as described below.
Optional accessibility features inspect relevant system windows, browser address bars or on-screen content during focus sessions to detect shutdown attempts, the notification shade, blocked websites and short-form content. This accessibility content is processed on the device for blocking functionality; it is not sent to advertising or analytics providers as screen content or browsing history.
You can manage permissions in Android settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the associated feature from working. FocusLock does not request precise device location for its focus features; providers may infer an approximate location from your IP address.
2. Advertising, analytics and diagnostics
The app includes Google AdMob and Unity Ads for advertising, Google Analytics for Firebase and Amplitude for usage analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics for diagnosing crashes. Depending on the service, settings, permissions and applicable consent, these services may process IP addresses, advertising or app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, app events, ad interactions and diagnostic information.
This information helps deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, understand feature use and improve reliability. Advertising providers may also use information to personalize advertising where permitted. Data sent to providers is not necessarily anonymous or limited to aggregate statistics.
3. Purchases
Google Play and RevenueCat help process purchases and manage subscriptions and premium access. RevenueCat may process app-user identifiers, purchase history, product identifiers and subscription status. Payment details are handled by the payment provider; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
4. Support and website information
When you send feedback, we receive your message and any email address you supply. Feedback can include app version, device model, operating system, language, time zone, premium status, product identifier, settings, permission status, analytics device identifier and installation information to help investigate problems. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in your message.
Our support infrastructure uses Cloudflare to receive and store feedback and to host this website. Requests involve network information such as IP addresses; the feedback service stores a hash of the IP address to limit abuse. We also process public Google Play reviews to provide support.
We may use Anthropic's AI services, directly or through Cloudflare or Google Cloud, to help analyze support information and draft responses. Relevant messages, reviews and diagnostic context may be processed for this purpose.
5. Service providers and sharing
Information is shared with providers as needed for the purposes above, and may be disclosed when required by law or to protect users, prevent fraud or safeguard our rights. Providers may process information outside your country. Their policies describe their own processing, retention and privacy choices:
- Google / Google Play Services / AdMob
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
- Unity Ads
- Amplitude
- RevenueCat
- Cloudflare
- Anthropic
- Google Cloud
6. Your choices and requests
Where required, the app requests advertising privacy choices using Google's consent platform. Availability and processing depend on your region and choices. You can also manage advertising privacy controls and app permissions in Android settings. These controls do not necessarily stop all data processing.
Contact shfwk32@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of information we hold, to withdraw consent, or to exercise applicable objection, restriction or sale/sharing opt-out rights. We may need information to identify the relevant records. You can also use the privacy controls and request channels offered by the providers listed above. Where applicable, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Uninstalling the app stops its future operation on your device but does not automatically delete information already held by us or service providers. Clearing app storage removes local app data. Subscription cancellation is managed separately through Google Play.
7. Retention and security
We retain support information for as long as needed to handle your request and for applicable operational or legal obligations. Retention of analytics, advertising, diagnostic and purchase information depends on the relevant provider, configuration and legal requirements. Contact us about specific records or deletion requests.
We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
FocusLock is intended for teenagers aged 13 and above and adults, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not currently collect users' birth dates or age information. A store target-audience setting does not verify an individual user's age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Additional protections may apply to minors under local law.
9. Policy changes
We will publish updates on this page and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before new processing begins.
